All pupils have at least three PE lessons a week and pupils in Key Stage 4 have the opportunity to study for the First National Diploma in Sport in addition to their normal PE lessons.
The PE department boasts excellent facilities which include:
All pupils are taught a wide range of sporting activities; Swimming, Football, Netball, Hockey, Gymnastics, Basketball, Rugby, Badminton, Tennis, Fitness, Dance, Baseball and Trampoline.
The PE Department runs school teams in most of the above activities.
In addition there are residential visits both home and abroad to take part in Skiing, Moorland walking, climbing , potholing and canoeing.
Some pupils also get the chance to go ice skating and tenpin bowling and all pupils will be offered the chance to take sports leadership courses and coaching courses.
